We built ListMyRetreat because finding a trustworthy mindfulness retreat shouldn't require hours of research across fragmented platforms. Portugal is home to hundreds of exceptional retreat facilitators — and most of them were invisible online.
Our story
Mindfulness Retreats Portugal was founded in 2025 with a single goal: make it easy to find a mindfulness retreat in Portugal that is genuinely what it claims to be. We list only vetted organisers — people who are transparent about their credentials, their programmes, and their prices.
Portugal has become one of Europe's most sought-after destinations for wellness travel. Its mild climate, extraordinary natural landscapes, and increasingly sophisticated retreat scene make it ideal for first-timers and experienced practitioners alike. From silent Vipassana centres in the Alentejo cork forests to yoga retreats on the Algarve's Atlantic coast — the variety is remarkable. We want to make all of it discoverable.
We are based in Lisbon, Portugal. We attend retreats ourselves, know many of our listed organisers personally, and are invested in the quality and integrity of everything we publish.
Our editorial standards
Every listing on this directory is submitted by the retreat organiser themselves — we do not scrape or auto-populate listings from third-party sources. Organisers provide their credentials, describe their programme honestly, and take responsibility for the accuracy of their pricing and dates.
We reserve the right to remove any listing that misrepresents the retreat experience, uses deceptive pricing, or has received verified complaints from participants. Our goal is a directory where every listing is one you'd feel comfortable recommending to a friend.
What we look for in a listing
Verified credentials
Organiser certifications, training lineage and years of experience are required fields — not optional.
Honest descriptions
What's included, who it's for, what to expect and how to get there — no marketing fluff.
Transparent pricing
Price-from must reflect the actual minimum cost for the described experience.
Accurate location
Region, address and travel information must be specific and accurate.
